iphotoWe recently did an upgrade for a client to Yosemite, and when he got home, he couldn’t find the last 6 years of his photos!

We remoted in, and sure enough, they were all missing. A quick Apple search, told us that other users were having the same issue. Way to go Apple!

To locate your pictures: Go to finder, and Apps, and right-click the iPhoto icon and select “show contents” and go into the contents directory. Some users find the missing photos inside “Old Masters” inside the iPhoto Library package, but we found theirs right inside the root of the contents directory.

Ok, we’ve found the images, now what? Well we opened the iPhoto, and simply dragged all of the folders into it, and it ran a sync that took over an hour (your results may vary, depending on the amount of photos and your computer speed). All is well, and his precious family photos are now back where they belong 🙂
